General Information:

Do you meet the qualifications to apply for the CDSEC Full Examination?  Check this link for information.

Steps required to take the examination are as follows:

Full Examination:

  1. Submit an application, three (3) references, and application fee.  Cost: $225.00 (non-refundable). Application is found within the Registration Packet. Registration Packet links can be found on the In-Person Training and Examination Schedule.
    1. Review of application and references will be completed and an email with status sent out.
    2. Approval of application is mandatory to take the Full Examination.
    3. Please allow for up to 21 days to review submitted materials.
  2. Once approval by Ecopliant Environmental, Inc. to take the examination occurs, an invoice for payment of the Full Examination will be emailed out to the email on the application form. Cost: $275.00.
  3. Please note, the CDSEC Review Training Modules are NOT required to apply for and take the Full Examination. However, should you wish to attend the 1.5 days Review Training, please only fill out the first page of the Registration Packet.

In-Person Proctoring Information:

In-Person Proctoring is only allowed due to select circumstances.  If you would like to find out if this is required for your situation, please contact us for information at examination@ecopliant.org.

Examination Proctors: The following individuals are eligible to proctor CDSEC examinations:
  • CDSEC and CISEC (US, Canada, and Malaysian) registrants,
  • Ecopliant Environmental, Inc. staff and Board members, and
  • Others (e.g., Universities, Learning Centers, etc.), granted approval by Ecopliant Environmental, Inc.

Proctor Applicants:

Ecopliant Environmental, Inc. expects those seeking to proctor CDSEC examinations meet the following criteria:

• They do not have a work relationship (employee, supervisor, etc.) or close personal relationship with the individual wanting to sit for the exam,

EXCEPTION – Other individuals may apply to proctor an examination without being a CDSEC registrant (as listed above) but must gain approval from Ecopliant Environmental, Inc.

All applicants seeking to become a proctor shall be approved by the Examination Committee. If there are concerns that an applicant may not represent the best interests of Ecopliant Environmental, Inc., the Examination Committee shall discuss the concerns with the Board of Directors for final action.

Proctor Responsibilities:

The proctor is responsible for the following:
  • Receiving and maintaining control of exam materials,
  • Conducting the examination in accordance with instructions for proctors, and
  • Returning all exam materials to Ecopliant Environmental, Inc. promptly after the examination is complete.

Necessary Information for Proctoring an Examination:

Individual seeking to take the examination shall provide:
  • Proof of approval from Ecopliant Environmental, Inc. to sit for the examination,
  • Name,
  • Address,
  • Phone numbers,
  • Email address, and
  • Registration form and payment (please contact us directly).
Individual seeking to take the examination shall provide the following information on the proctor:
  • Name,
  • Address,
  • Phone numbers,
  • Email address, and
  • Date, time, and location where administration of the examination will take place.

Please be aware that a proctor will be required to sign a contract with Ecopliant Environmental, Inc. Once all the above information and signed contract are submitted to and approved by Ecopliant Environmental, Inc., proctoring of the examination can take place. We ask for a minimum of 7 (seven) business days to process the proctor’s information, obtain the signed contract, and mail the examination materials.
